From the Inland Empire Council of Amateur Radio Organizations By-Laws

The Inland Empire Council of Amateur Radio Organizations (IECARO) will have as its members, organizations which provide services to amateurs within the IECARO Service Area1. The purposes of IECARO are:

  1. To provide a forum for all member organizations wherein each will benefit from the experiences of the others.
  2. To provide a vehicle for periodic sponsorship of the ARRL Southwestern Division Convention.
  3. To develop a consensus on current issues before the Amateur Community within the IECARO Service Area.
  4. To promote membership in the ARRL.
  5. To promote Amateur Radio for the benefit of all licensed Amateur Radio Operators.
1 The IECARO Service Area is Riverside, San Bernardino and Inyo counties in the State of California.
