IECARO FIELD DAY TRAVELING TROPHY
As one of the council's activities,
we hold an annual competition among
our Member Organizations to determine who will earn bragging rights for
the coming year.
RULES
Eligibility:
Available to any Field Day group meeting the following requirements:
a) Contestant must be a Member of IECARO in good standing.
b) Contestant must operate in accordance with the ARRL Field Day Rules (published in May QST) except as noted.
c) The Field Day site must be within the IECARO Service Area, i.e. Riverside, San Bernardino or Inyo counties.
d) Each Member Organization must file its Field Day results with the Secretary no later than July 31st following Field Day.
Scoring:
The ARRL rules apply with the single exception that only QSO points are counted, i.e. no bonus points are counted.
Logs:
Logs must include a dupe sheet, be signed by the Field Day Manager and be available for review by IECARO if requested.
Submission of Entries:
Entries must be postmarked or hand-delivered to the IECARO Secretary no later than July 31st. The entry form, copies of the log and dupe sheets will constitute a complete entry submission. The IECARO officers and a delegate appointed by he Chairman will review all entries and determine the winner, and the Chairman will present the Traveling Plaque to the winner’s Delegate at a regular IECARO meeting.
Disqualification:
Standard ARRL Rules, as modified, apply. The appointed delegate and the IECARO officers will be the sole judges.
Award:
The Field Day Award shall consist of an inscribed plaque with spaces for the actual winner’s club name and year. Reasonable care and protection of the plaque is expected, and it shall be returned to IECARO at the July meeting each year for presentation to the next winner
